Stock Control Analyst

Job description

Are you a dynamic, data-driven individual who has a genuine interest in retail software systems?

Do you have strong experience managing retail stock processes and protocols?

Would you enjoy having a positive impact in driving digital transformation in an innovative and growing retail software company?

If you have answered yes to these questions, we would love to hear from you!

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stock Control Analyst to join our dynamic, down-to-earth and collaborative itim team! As part of our exciting expansion plans, we are looking for someone to work closely with our internal product development teams and client-based stock management teams to understand the challenges and opportunities within retail businesses concerning stock control management and how itim’s solutions can help meet our client's needs. You will work closely with our Product Owner on aspects of new product development and implementation across itim’s stock solutions.

To be effective in this Stock Control Analyst role, you will already have great expertise and knowledge in stock management across a variety of retail supply chain solutions, as well as strong numerical analysis and interpretation skills. This role would suit dynamic stock controllers, stock planners or stock orientated retail professionals who can bring their industry expertise to contribute significantly to itim’s continued growing success with fantastic opportunities to further develop and expand your career!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fun, dynamic mid-sized team, allowing the successful candidate to make a genuine contribution to itim’s solutions - solutions that are at the forefront of the exciting shift in retail software: real-time stock visibility, omnichannel stock management and 30 minute click and collect.

We are itim, but who are we?

itim is a global retail software provider with a vision to empower multi-channel retailers to thrive in today’s digital world by accelerating their digital transformation and helping them achieve omnichannel excellence.

We have developed an industry-leading omnichannel platform that empowers retailers to adopt a more engaging customer-centric approach to shopping in-store, online, and on mobile. Our technology is highly data-driven and flexible, providing retailers with the agility to meet real-world retailing demands and adapt to future challenges.

We connect retailing IT strategy with effective execution, helping our clients strengthen their core systems, scale with flexibility and create seamless omnichannel consumer experiences. Our deep retail experience combined with our comprehensive suite of omnichannel retailing applications means we can help retailers achieve their trading objectives while streamlining processes, managing cost, minimising risks and giving them the ability to deploy quickly.

We are very proud to work with over 65 leading retailers across 11 countries, which include; The Entertainer, John Lewis, Sainsbury’s, Office, The Fragrance Shop, and The Works.

What would be my main responsibilities?

The main responsibilities are generally split equally between client projects (implementations and software upgrades) and our internal product development programme, with minor additional responsibilities in assisting the sales and support teams:

  • Support the Product Owner through the client project discovery process by identifying and documenting how agreed business processes can be supported by itim software - with a key emphasis on business process and data flow modelling. The discovery phase also includes gap analysis to identify product development, custom development and custom integration requirements.
  • Support new clients in implementing robust stock management procedures and reporting to ensure the business is correctly managing its stock
  • Create and operate a stock audit process overseeing itim client environments to identify possible bugs and stock discrepancies. Define suitable KPIs for reporting on the “health” of the stock functions in each client
  • Support the creation of requirement documents for new functionality within the stock solution
    • Capturing real business scenarios requiring a solution
    • Building excel models to clearly illustrate expected behaviour
    • Creating test scenarios and expected outcomes
  • Work closely with support analysts to provide additional 3rd line support for stock management functions with itim retail applications. The Stock Control Analyst should be a natural problem solver and these skills will be used if support issues required escalation.
  • Test software releases in our internal testing environments against technical and functional specifications, using a methodical approach - ensuring quality delivery of software into our demonstration and client environments.
  • Support 3rd party development teams in understanding how to integrate to itim software, and support system integration testing as part of new client projects.
  • Review and update the stock management functional documentation and data flows in line with new system releases
