A fantastic and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced, action-orientated Cyber Security Analyst to join the infrastructure department of a rapidly growing, dynamic organisation who are transforming the way retail businesses operate.

As our Cyber Security Analyst, you will be reporting directly to the Director of IT Infrastructure & Hosting Operations and will be key to the success of delivering itim’s private cloud offering to our SaaS based customers. You will work alongside our existing Infrastructure team to help support, architect & offer continuous improvement to all security aspects of itim’s Infrastructure and applications.

We are going through an exciting period both as a team and as a business, itim have created our own cloud platform, designed and built from the ground up, specifically for the needs of our customers. 

If successful, you will take a leading role in designing the future of how infosec is used in the itimCloud. in addition, in time as we grow the department, you will provide itim with a rock-solid foundation for a Cyber Security team that will grow with the business, that will in turn significantly contribute to itim’s continued success.

What would be my main responsibilities as DBA/Data Architect

  • Monitor security access, security events and
  • Respond to alerts
  • Carrying out threat hunting
  • Participation in technical research and developments in the cybersecurity space
  • Provide security advice and guidance to other teams within the business
  • To Implement and provide Ci and support for products in the cybersecurity space
  • Providing reports and feedback/deciphering reports on each topic above.
  • To arrange regular Penetration testing from external sources.

    Job requirements

    What we’d like from you

    • 4+ years recent direct Cyber Security experience
    • A Strong networking background
    • A strong desire to work as part of a team that embrace’s technology and business change
    • You must have a genuine interest in tech & the tech industry. Essential for us to drive innovation.
    • Good working experience of threat hunting and problem-solving through the application of log data and the identification of patterns or trends
    • Awareness of infrastructure and application technologies (Public Cloud, Linux, Windows, Juniper and VMware)
    • 2+ years' experience of working with event log management solutions

      Desired Experience

      • Recent experience of Nessus tools, MFA and Trend Micro
      • Recent experience and exposure to Pii locating and associated GDPR regulations.
      • Recent experience of NSX Intrusion prevention
      • Awareness of legal compliance and standard including PCI DSS, GDPR.

      Location: Plymouth Science Park, Plymouth

      Salary: £30k - £50k, dependent on experience
