We have a fantastic opportunity for two Business Systems Analysts to join our dynamic and innovative team! You will work closely with our external clients and internal development teams on aspects of new product development and the implementation of itim’s powerful and best-in-class solutions.

We are looking for one Business Systems Analyst to support our enterprise Customer Order Management and eCommerce solutions and another Business Systems Analyst to support our Electronic Point-of-Sale (EPOS) system. To be effective in this Business Systems Analyst role, you will already have experience in a Business Systems analysis role writing detailed business requirements with some expertise and knowledge of retail processes concerning either EPOS or E-Commerce/Order Management.

What would be my main responsibilities?

The main responsibilities are generally split equally between both new and existing client projects and our internal product development programme:

  • Be the main point of contact for our customers and take ownership of the client project discovery process by identifying and documenting how their business processes can be supported by our highly customisable and flexible omni-channel software
  • Carry out key gap analysis to identify product development, custom development and custom integration requirements.
  • Analyse, understand, document, and maintain business functions, using modelling software and defined standards. Maintaining the model is a key part of our product development process.
  • Document existing and new business processes and workflows with high levels of complexity.
  • Display solid knowledge of detailed project process re-engineering approaches and techniques.
  • Write detailed business requirements for complex projects, including the definition of scope.
  • Gather, analyse/research, and formulate data and process flows for projects with high levels of complexity.
  • Become an expert for our solution and work closely with support analysts to help in 3rd line support for your assigned functions. The candidate should be a natural problem solver and these skills will be put to use if support issues are escalated from the support team.
  • Determine testing requirements for complex projects involving interfaces with sub-systems
  • Test software releases against functional specifications, using a methodical approach - ensuring quality delivery of software into our demonstration and client environments.
  • Manage execution of test plans throughout the project life cycle for projects with high levels of complexity.
  • Review and improve business processes
  • Contribute to the development of our product, suggesting ideas for improvement and innovation
  • Develop training guides and user manuals
  • Communicate effectively with any internal or external stakeholders

Job requirements

What we’d like from you

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a Business Systems Analyst / IT Business Analyst role
  • Have an understanding of retail processes related to either:
    • EPOS systems or
    • E-Commerce / Order Management systems
  • Some experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server and be able to write and execute basic queries
  • Knowledge or experience working with software applications built on web services

Negotiable Salary: Depending on experience
